Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan
King Rama III ordered the construction of this Third Classed Royal Monastery to honour Phra Ong Chaoying Sommanat Watthanawadi, who was later elevated by King Rama IV to th rank of Her Royal Highness Queen Sommanat Watthanawadi, Chao Phraya Yommarat and Phraya Mahayotha were the directors of the temple's construction. But the former was unluckily killed while he was directing the construction work. The major monument of the temple is Loha Prasat (Metal castle), the Thai-styled sanctuary which was adapted from the ones in India and Sri Lanka. Most importantly, it is the ONLY ONE sanctuary left in the world after the one in India and Sri Lanka were destroyed. The 3-storeyed sanctuary has 37 spires representing the 37 Phra Phothi Pakkhi Yatham - the virtues leading to enlightenment. The Fine Arts Department has registered the temple as a national monument since 1949.
