Ching San Yan 青山岩
Also known as the Muara Tebas Temple, this temple is built 200 years ago, occupying an ancient site. Here, travellers gave thanks after safely crossing the South China Sea from China. Muara Tebas has been a fishing and trading village for centuries. The host deity of the temple is Buddha Shakyamuni. Other deities include Sea Goddess Macho. The shrine was renovated in 1903; major renovations were made in 1994-2000. Devotees occasionally hire boats to visit the 'lion rock' on nearby Pulau Lakei.
