Went on a driving trip all the way to the North, parked at Bukit Kayu Hitam, and crossed the border at Danuk, into Hatyai, Thailand. First day was spent mostly on the road as the immigration check took up almost 2 hours before we were in Thai soil. But after that, everything was a breeze. Spent the first day in Hatyai downtown, walking towards the commercial zone, out and about; before finally hired a tour to the floating market nearby. Second day was spent mainly in a half day trip to Songkhla, the main provincial town by the beach. Checked out of the hotel the next day and ended this short trip.
After checking into our hotel, P.B. Hotel, we walked around and explored the town. It's honestly, HUGE!
Klong Hae Floating Market
Hired a tour to go to this floating market. It was serene; but the amount of Malaysians and Singaporeans visiting this area made us feel as though we were still in Malaysia. LOL.
Kim Yong Market
The local market in Hatyai. Pretty much having everything that you want. Everything. Like, seriously, everything.
Samila Beach, Songkhla
Hired a half day tour to Songkhla, the provincial town of Songkhla Province. Samila Beach is well maintained. The ice cream is a must try. And not to forget the golden mermaid.
Had our lunch in a restaurant by the largest natural lake in Thailand.
